Autumn Reflections and Reminders
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As we transition from the excitement of Halloween and other fall festivities into the quieter rhythm of November, we’re met with shorter days and cooler, wetter weather. Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students. Staying connected with your child’s learning—whether it’s through checking planners, reviewing Seesaw updates, or reading together each day—makes a meaningful difference in their growth and confidence.
We continue to see students attend school while unwell. We understand the challenges this can pose for families balancing work and home life. However, to help reduce the spread of illness, we kindly ask that children remain at home if they are sick. Children must stay home if they have vomited or have had a fever within the previous 24 hours. Promoting healthy habits like regular sleep, nutritious meals, handwashing, and daily physical activity can go a long way in keeping everyone well. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and healthy school environment.
Parking during drop-off and pick-up continues to be a concern. A quick reminder: the left lane is for drive-through only, while the right lane is for active drop-off and pick-up. Please pull forward to the BC flag to allow as many cars into the parking lot as possible, and do not leave your vehicle unattended in the drop-off lane. If you need to walk your child into the school, we ask that you park in the neighborhood or walk to school. Do not use staff parking, non-designated spots, or Accessible Parking stalls unless you have a valid permit. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. As we move through this season of change, let’s continue to nurture the strong sense of community that makes Bondar such a special place. Together, we can create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for all our learners. Wishing you a restful and joyful long weekend.
Ms. Lorieau
