On to October
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
The school year is well underway, and most of us are feeling settled into our routines and feeling comfortable with the day-to-day happenings of school and family life. Reconnecting with the people we know and care about is reassuring as we get to know community members that we aren’t yet familiar with and create new connections and friendships with those around us. Our hope is that all students are finding their comfort-zone and are feeling that sense of belonging that is so important to Bondar.
One way that we enjoy recognizing students in classes is on birthdays. Birthdays are special times to celebrate our students, and each teacher has a unique way of acknowledging birthdays in their classrooms. There is no obligation to bring treats to school for birthdays, however if you would like to bring something into the class for your child’s birthday, please ensure that it is a small, single item per child, and individually packaged/single serving for easy distribution. Please also let your child’s classroom teacher know in advance if you are planning on bringing such a treat to school. Thank you for your cooperation.
Tomorrow is World Teacher’s Day. I am so proud to be a part of the Bondar Community, and I am continually wowed by the work that all of our teachers do with students each day. Our teachers are experienced, skilled, caring, creative and steady, and I am so thankful for all of their efforts with children. They welcome every single child into our building with open arms and are able to pivot and shift in order to meet the needs of the students coming into their classes. Bondar Teachers care about your children, and it’s clear in all that they do. Their passion and their dedication to kids and education shine through all of the high fives, “good mornings”, smiles and conversations. We have an absolutely outstanding team; THANK YOU TEACHERS!!!
There is lots on the go this month at Bondar. To stay up to date on what’s coming, please stay connected with the school website. I understand that the Calendar is difficult to view on a cell phone, but if you click the menu (three lines) in the top right-hand corner, click the down arrow for News Hub, click the down arrow for Calendar, and select List of Events, you will be able to see all upcoming events in list format. If you click on any of the events, it will take you directly to the Event page where you can find more information about the event. Hopefully this helps a little😊
Next week is Photo Day on Thursday, October 10th, and the Bondar Pumpkin Patch, Hot Lunch, and the Pumpkin Run on Friday, October 11th. We look forward to these and all other upcoming events in the month of October. Enjoy the sunny fall weekend ahead!
