Spring in Full Swing
Dear Bondar Families,
This is such a busy and exciting time of year at Bondar. Our students are fully immersed in their learning, actively engaged in classroom activities, and continuing to build meaningful connections with their peers. With the recent stretch of beautiful, warm weather, there is certainly a growing sense that summer is just around the corner; we are close, but not quite there yet! As we move through these final weeks, it will be important that we continue to work together and keep communication open so that we can best support our students right up until the end of June.
We hope you have been enjoying our Snap, Smile, Read initiative. It has been such a joy to see the creative and zany photos that families have shared, and our students have absolutely loved watching the weekly video compilations together. Thank you for your enthusiastic participation! We have two more weeks of photo submissions remaining; next week’s theme is Read with a Fuzzy Friend, followed by Read, Laugh and Play. We cannot wait to see what you and your children come up with next!
I would also like to take a moment to highlight some of the wonderful learning experiences happening here at Bondar. I invite you to explore the School Plan section of our website, where you will find our Celebrations of Learning. From Outdoor Learning opportunities, to the development of Regulation Spaces, and ongoing professional development for staff, there is a great deal of thoughtful work happening to ensure that learning is engaging, meaningful, and responsive to the diverse needs of all our students.
Thank you as well to our families for continuing to support healthy eating habits at school. We truly appreciate the effort that goes into packing lunches that include a variety of whole, nutritious foods. We understand that encouraging children to try new foods can be a challenge at times; your persistence makes a difference! We kindly ask that students bring water to school as much as possible, with juice reserved as an occasional treat. Please do not send pop to school. Thank you for helping us promote healthy habits throughout the day.
Well, that is all for now. We wish you all a wonderful long weekend filled with time to connect with family and friends. Enjoy the extra day for rest, exploration, and a little bit of fun in the sunshine.
