Bondar Literacy Week
Bondar Literacy Week is April 15th to 19th. Each day there is an event planned to support a love of reading and literacy.
Day 1 - Read-a-thon Kickoff
On Monday, students will learn about how to track their reading for Literacy Week. The Primary and Intermediate classes who read the most minutes during the week can win a pizza lunch for their class!
Day 2 - School-Wide Buddy Reading and Reading Run
Bring your favourite book and your fastest runners! On Tuesday, all Bondar Students will do Buddy Reading together and then head outside for the Reading Run @ 1:30pm. Families are welcome to join us for the run:)
Day 3 - Come Read With Me
Do you enjoy reading to others? Or having someone read to you? Today all family members are invited to come into their child’s class to read together for the first 30 minutes of the school day. If you have more than one child at Bondar, please go to your youngest child's class.
Day 4 - Bondar Special Guest Reader
For Thursday, we have another Special Guest Reader for the Month of April who will read us a story and talk about what their role in our community is.
Day 5 - Dress Up As Your Favourite Book Character/Cozy Reading Day
Dress up as your favrourite book character or wear a cozy reading outfit or pyjamas and you can be entered into the draw for a chance to win a book prize!
