Break Time

March 15, 2024

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Term Two has absolutely raced by and we are once again headed into a break. It has been a short but very busy stretch of the school year, and we hope that you take the time to celebrate your child’s successes and achievements from the past few months. Learning Updates were sent home yesterday afternoon; we encourage you to read these documents and to let your child know how proud you are of their progress. We are SO impressed with the hard work of all students at Bondar!

We have a strong, caring and professional staff team at Bondar who welcome and care for your children every day. Their skills and talents are shared with students daily to ensure that each child has what they need to succeed, feel safe and feel as though they belong. I personally feel so fortunate to be a part of the Bondar Team and would like to sing their praises every day; so, I am committed to highlighting some of the outstanding work that they do through blog posts. I would like to bring to your attention my first blog in a series that I am calling, “Spotlight On…”, and the first post is about Nature Kindergarten. I hope that you take a minute to check it out.

There is also another post up about our Bondar Special Guest Readers series that we have been having to support our literacy goals. So far, we have had a Police Officer, a Firefighter and the Superintendent of the Abbotsford School District come to read students a story and to tell us about what their role is in the community. Our hope is that these visits will support a love of literacy and will connect our children with important adults in Abbotsford area.

Have a safe, restful, and playful Spring Break. Enjoy a well-deserved slowdown of the regular pace and take the time, if possible, to do something that brings you joy.
