Wrapping Up at Bondar
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As we come to the close of another school year at Bondar, I want to extend my congratulations to all of our students and families. This year has been rich with learning, growth, and many happy moments together. June, as always, brought a special energy to our school; filled with the excitement of Sports Day, the fun of our year-end picnic, and a wide variety of engaging field trips. These experiences remind us of the strength of our community and the joy of learning together. I continue to be so proud of all of our students; their perseverance, creativity and kindness have made this a truly memorable year.
This time of year also brings both gratitude and goodbyes. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to several valued members of our Bondar team who will not be returning in the fall. Ms. Green (LSS) is heading off on maternity leave, Mrs. Lichty (Division 3), Ms. D (ELL), Mrs. B (EA), Ms. M (Division 8), Mrs. Dhaliwal (Office Admin Assistant), and Miss Dhaliwal (Division 6) were all with us on temporary contracts and will be moving on to new opportunities, and Mrs. Lepine (Division 6) is retiring after her many years of dedicated service. Each of these staff members made a meaningful impact on our students and school community this year. We are so grateful for the care, commitment and enthusiasm they brought to Bondar each day. They were recognized and celebrated at our year-end assembly yesterday, and we wish them all the very best in their next chapters.
At the same time, we are excited to welcome several new staff members to Bondar. Genie Griggs will be joining us next year in a temporary LSS role, Rachel Loewen will be joining our team as a permanent Primary Teacher, Dana Makara will be stepping into the temporary Office Admin Assistant role, and Gabby Lidder will be working alongside Mrs. Walker in Kindergarten for two days a week as Mrs. Walker begins her Educational Leave. We extend a very warm welcome to each of them and look forward to getting to know them and working together in the year ahead.
As summer approaches, I hope each of you finds time to relax, recharge and create special memories with family and friends. Thank you for your continued support and partnership; it truly makes a difference in the lives of our students.
